Success and the Art of “Going Backwards”

The key to success in whatever fitness or nutrition plan you are pursuing is being totally true to yourself.  Whenever I start my training I make a list of things that I know I am not good at and make sure I address each one in my 12 week prep the best of my abilities.  For instance, I got all my partying out of me and I made a commitment that I will not miss church these next couple months.  I threw away all my chocolate Easter candy that sometimes beats me down.  All of the outside stressors and negativity need to be put to a halt and dealt with after competition and total satisfactory with my body is accomplished.  You should never plan on doing something that you already know you are going to fail at.  Confidence dictates success when pursuing a diet or exercise regime.

3 High, 2 Lows

Hey Guys,

Some fans have been asking for a cutting-phase diet plan. I have done this diet personally and it worked great for me. This is one of the diets (I switched my diet about 3-4 times depending where I was at) I did while preparing for a show that worked really well with me.

It might be extreme for some, but that’s the point–to shock your body. This is known as the 3 high and 2 lows. You can do this for about 2-3 weeks until you start seeing some results. I don’t suggest you stay on this diet constantly but keep a regimen similar to this.

Turn on the Light Switch for Ultimate Focus

If there is one thing I am passionate about with my life and career, it is affecting as many people’s lives as I possibly can. I dedicate most of my life to studying fitness and nutrition so I can help people become healthier and improve their overall quality of life. I have only ever attended a few sermons that made me want to walk out of the church and conquer the world. The sermon that most affected me in my career was from Pastor Randy Sizemore who was the pastor at our local church. The whole sermon explained that every person has a specific job in the world. No matter what your career is, you should be affecting people’s lives positively to help them live an easier and better life. It didn’t matter if you were a priest or pastor, as long as you were morally and ethically doing your job and helping people in some way, shape or form you were achieving true success.
